Descriptive Text

Variable has been recoded from reported adult age and age ranges into six age categories. When only age range was provided, the midpoint of the range was assigned. The categories are useful for analyzing data according to age recommendations for common health screenings. The universe for this variable includes all adult respondents age 18 and older.
