Descriptive Text

The adult BMI variable was calculated from height and weight variables provided by respondents, using the following equation: BMI= (mass (lbs)*703)/(height (in)^2). Any BMI value greater than 99.99 and less than 12.00 was set to missing, following CDC's BRFSS treatment of biological implausible values.The universe for this variable includes all adult respondents age 18 and older.
